OUR HISTORY

Up until 2021, Mwimbi University operated as the Mwimbi Institute of Technology and Education before being converted to a university. One of the most cutting-edge universities, Mwimbi University, offers high-quality certificates, diplomas, and degree programs online and via open distance learning to students across the nation, including in the East, Central, Southern, and other regions. In fact, Mwimbi University is leading the way in establishing the use of contemporary technology to create fair access to higher education through e-learning and remote learning, as well as to raise the standard of educational experience for students. The institution offers an online learning management system-based e-campus that benefits academic departments, administrative offices, and students. Students take online exams on-campus at the end of each semester for all programs offered at the e-Campus, which predominantly delivers its programs online.
